An Indian man was found guilty after seven years for killing and then cutting his wife’s body into 70 pieces before putting them in a freezer.
Rajesh Gulati, 44, killed his 36 years wife, Anupama in their home and then bought an electric saw to chop the body into 70 pieces so that he could stash them in a freezer. This incident took place in 2010 in their home in Dehradun.
For the next two months, he kept dumping the bags with his wife’s body parts one by one away from the city part, the outskirts of Dehradun. It has been seven years since the case is going on in the court.
Rajesh Gulati and Anupama were married in 1999 and moved to U.S. where he worked as a software engineer and his wife was blessed with twins, Siddhant and Sonakshi. They came back to India in 2008 and started living in Dehradun. The things took a turn and their married life was not the same like before.
On October 17, the couple had a fight and Rajesh slapped his wife that made her fall and hit herself on her head. Rajesh was scared that she will go to police and report; he suffocated the unconscious wife with a pillow and killed her. Then he cut her into pieces and kept her in a freezer.
His crime was discovered by Anupama’s brother when he came for a visit without announcing in December and Rajesh couldn’t tell where she is. Rajesh has been found guilty now and next week, he will be sentenced.
