Some days are hard. The struggle to pass a difficult day is real. Because every other thing is annoying and overwhelming. The emotional baggage is too much to carry and you would just go home if you could and cry. Continuing your work is one tremendous task. You move about with a heavy heart only to reluctantly give in to other people’s orders while hating every bit of this frustrating time.
What would you do in such a case? It seems as if all the people you meet know for a fact what a disappointment you are, a disappointment to your colleagues for not working hard enough, a disappointment to your siblings for not being supportive enough, a disappointment to your friends for not being a good friend or your parents for not being a good enough child.
You see, these moments of weakness should not overpower you because they have a way of poisoning your mind. First thing you need to do is clear your mind. Whatever the problem is, it’s temporary. Nothing stays, not even sadness and frustration. Let it stay because it will go away soon. Second thing is make yourself believe that you’re strong enough to continue the work you are doing and will finish it as these petty thoughts cannot defeat your will power. Third is, take deep breaths and compose yourself. Fourth thing, wash your face to bring back cool in this chaotic situation. And lastly, drink cold water,literally. It will calm your nerves.
And remember you cannot possibly be a disappointment to the people who love you. They have seen you at your best and at your worst. They know what you’re capable of. Please let them tell you what you mean to them and recall that at the time it seems like you’re breaking down. Recall all the times you are told what a success you are and all the people who love you.
