- Take a yoga mat and spread out your legs in front of you.
- Place your palms on the side of your hips. Keep your back up straight. Take a few deep breaths.
- Slowly spread your legs wide feet away from each other. Then, slightly bend and lift your knees.
- Spread your arms sideways underneath your knees. Then, bend your torso forward down. Touch the floor with your forehead.
- Stay in the position for a few deep breaths, then get back in the previous position and relax.
BEST TIME TO DO THE KURMASANA OR TORTOISE POSE
The ideal time to do this pose is early in the morning daily. However, if you have a tight schedule, it can also be done in the evenings. It is important to have four to six hours of gap after your last meal to do this pose. This pose has numerous health benefits.
